Is your dog very resistant to bathing? Q-Pets shares three tips to help your dog gradually loves bath time:
- Walk Before Bathing
Take your dog for a walk before the bath to let them relieve themselves, which will reduce their energy for struggling during the bath. Additionally, cleaning up afterwards makes washing the anal glands much cleaner. - Start from the Feet
Begin by rinsing your dog's feet with warm water to help them gradually adapt, then slowly wet their body and head. Never spray water directly on their head, as this can make dogs that are already afraid of water even more resistant. - Reward with Treats After Bathing
Remember to give your dog treats as a reward after the bath, so they associate bathing with a positive experience! Next time, your dog will remember there are treats after the bath.
